The Next Cookbook Club will be on October 11th

Thank you to everyone who participated in the September Cookbook Club, in which we made recipes from The Apple Lover's Cookbook, by Amy Traverso and Simple: Simple: Effortless Food, Big Flavors, by Diana Henry. It was a fun event and the dishes were delicious!

The October Cookbook Club will take place on October 11th. We will be discussing two Italian Cookbooks: Lidia Cooks from the Heart of Italy and Lidia's Favorite Recipes, both by Lidia Matticchio Bastianich.

The Next Cookbook Club will be on July 12


Thank you to everyone who made their favorite recipe for the June Cookbook Club. It was great to go around the room and hear why people chose their recipes. The food was delicious!

The next Cookbook Club will be on July 12th. We will make recipes from the cookbook The soul of a new cuisine : a discovery of the foods and flavors of Africa, by Marcus Samuelsson.


Registration will begin on Wednesday, June 28th.

Flour, too a big hit!


Thanks to the 25 people who cooked and shared their recipes from Joanne Chang's Flour, too.  Emily Speagle gave the group a great biographical summary about Joanne and led a discussion on what went well and not so well.  We're looking forward to cooking from The Art of Mastering French Cooking by Julia Child at the May 10th meeting. See you then!

Salads upon salads!


Thank you to our Branch Librarian, Theresa, for taking this photo of the scrumptious salads we sampled today. All the salads were from Raising the Salad by local author, Cathy Walthers.  Cathy talked about how she got started in cooking, food writing, and teaching. It was great to hear how her husband and son test all of her recipes before they are published in her books!  Thank you, Cathy, for joining us!

We ate our veggies at the January meeting!







Twenty eight people attended yesterday's Cookbook Club!  So, we had 28 vegetarian recipes to try. They were all delicious. Thanks to everyone to cooked and shared.
