Flour, too a big hit!

Thanks to the 25 people who cooked and shared their recipes from Joanne Chang's Flour, too.  Emily Speagle gave the group a great biographical summary about Joanne and led a discussion on what went well and not so well.  We're looking forward to cooking from The Art of Mastering French Cooking by Julia Child at the May 10th meeting. See you then!

Salads upon salads!

Thank you to our Branch Librarian, Theresa, for taking this photo of the scrumptious salads we sampled today. All the salads were from Raising the Salad by local author, Cathy Walthers.  Cathy talked about how she got started in cooking, food writing, and teaching. It was great to hear how her husband and son test all of her recipes before they are published in her books!  Thank you, Cathy, for joining us!

Thank you to the 28 people who prepared the salads and shared them.   For a list of all the recipes samples today please visit this site (scroll to the bottom).

The next cookbook title is Make it Ahead by Ina Garten.  Copies of the this book will be available at the Main Library and Fowler Branch starting on Wednesday, February 24th.

Registration to attend the Wed., March 9th meeting also begins on February 24th. Please register to attend on this site.

Stay warm and I'll see you all very soon!
